  •  As part of our respective businesses, we each maintain conflict records to assure no conflict of interest exists before commencing any work.

   

•  I don’t really need a full-time paralegal….

  •  Use an experienced Freelance Paralegal on an as-needed basis.  This is our specialty.

   

•  What do CFPN Paralegals charge for their services?

  •  Just as the fees charged by lawyers and law firms vary depending upon the scope and complexity of the project and the experience level of those performing the work, so do the fees charged by Freelance Paralegals.  The important thing to remember is that the price quoted is your bottom line, absolute, without the hidden costs of federal and local taxes, FICA, unemployment insurance premiums, workers compensation coverage or any other statutorily mandated charges, nor any of the benefits normally provided to employees, which often add 30% or more to the stated compensation rate.

   

•  What is contributing to the increased use of contract paralegal assistance?

  •  The ever-increasing pressure to contain client costs makes the use of independent experienced contractors/freelancers an extremely effective way to manage the need for assistance yet affords the firm or corporation a very positive profit margin.

   

•  How am I protected when using a CFPN Paralegal?

  •  Your written agreement with the particular CFPN Paralegal you hire specifically sets the contract status of the freelancer, conforming with all requirements for such status under the Internal Revenue Code.
